Portuguese company founded in 1991, Vila do Conde.

With over 25 years of experience in the field of pipes and mainly focused on the foreign market, it was the first producer of multilayer pipes in the Iberian Peninsula.

Throughout its activity, it solidified its presence through the development of technical products for the civil construction market.

DUOPIPE is a company certified in accordance with NP EN ISO 9001, since 1999.

The scope of its certification is contained in ER-0940/2000 from AENOR.

1991

Foundation of the Duofil company

1992

Foundation of Duofil as an industrial project, for the extrusion of UPVC profiles for the civil construction market.

1995

Duofil is dedicated to the manufacture and assembly of UPVC carpentry, with the aim of creating a market for the profiles to be produced. In the second half of 1995, it launched the project for extrusion of pipes in PE-X and profiles in UPVC. At the end of the year, the process of manufacturing and assembling carpentry in UPVC was concluded.

1996

Extension of the extrusion range to Polyethylene (PE) pipes for water and gas transport, as well as Polypropylene (PP) pipes. The preparation of an organized program of the Quality Assurance System began.

1997

Extending the range of extrusion to multilayer pipes. Export of products to Italy, Spain and Belgium. Decision to implement a Quality Management System in order to meet the NP EN ISO 9001 standard.

1998

Aim to create new products for new markets. Enlargement of the export market.

1999

Extension of the product range to the manufacture of multilayer pipes of the PEX/AL/PEX type. Regular export to different Central European countries. Obtainment of the Quality Management System Certification in accordance with the NP EN ISO 9001:1995 standard, by APCER. Obtaining the FILPEX-b product certification by AENOR (Spain).

2000

Extending the range of products to PEX-a pipes (Engel’s Method), by the Peroxide crosslinking method. Certification of METALPEX and FILTERMO products up to Ø50 mm obtained by SKZ (Germany).

2001

Extension of the range of manufactured products to SANIFIL pipes. Certification of FILÁGUA and FILGÁS products by AENOR (Spain).

2002

Production start of PE-RT/AL/PE-RT multilayer pipes. Certification of FILPEX-a and VICOPROP products by AENOR Renewal of certification and transition of the Quality Management System to the normative reference NP EN ISO 9001:2000. Change in the scope of QMS certification with the inclusion of the multilayer product. Certification of the Quality Management System by AENOR, through the IQnet network.

2003

Foundation of Duofilcom. Certification of METALPEX and MAXIMETAL products by AENOR. Decision on qualification of GDP suppliers for PE 100 polyethylene pipes and start of the process. Obtaining certification of the company’s Environmental Management System in accordance with NP EN ISO 14001:1999, by APCER.

2004

Obtaining approval with certification by FILPEX-a (LNEC). Decision to integrate Duofil’s Quality and Environment Management Systems. Decision to extend the Quality and Environment certifications to Duofilcom.
Completion of GDP supplier qualification process.

2005

Obtaining approval with METALPEX certification (LNEC). Completion of the certification process for the same product by the CSTB (France). Beginning of the FILGÁS pipe certification process in the domestic market with the aim of expanding the product’s distribution area.

2006

Certification of products in Belgium (PEX-AL-PEX at ATG) and Portugal (FILGÁS at CERTIF). New product ranges launch, namely UNICSYSTEM. Start of the project for the new industrial unit in Pedrógão. Beginning of the integration of Duofil Injection into Duofil’s SGI.

2007

Start of industrial activity at the Pedrógão Grande unit. Extension of APCER certification to the new unit and product certificates manufactured in it. Obtaining product certification in Spain (BOXER accessories and systems). Continued integration of Duofil Injection into Duofil’s SGI.

2008

Installation and start-up of a new multilayer pipe production line. Start of logistics and shipping activities in the new warehouse for finished products, goods and raw materials. Beginning of the certification process for PERT-AL-PERT pipes and BOXER fittings in France (CSTB). Optimization of resources, namely through the use of internally generated waste in the manufacture of packaging for own consumption. Beginning of Duofil’s licensing process as a waste manager.

2009

Certification of accessories in PPSU and respective systems at AENOR; extension of AENOR and CERTIF certifications to products manufactured at the Pedrógão industrial unit; obtaining the certification of PE-RT multilayer pipes and accessories in PPSU, at the CSTB.

2010

Maintenance of the product range, with a special focus on the French market. Adequacy of the number of product certifications to the current market reality and consequent cost reduction.

2011

Significant increase in market share in more specialized products.

2012

Maintenance of the range of products entering the Slovak market.

2013

Maintenance of the product range, with a special focus on the French market.

2014

Market entry in Latvia, Russia, Mexico and Brazil. Certification of multilayer and PEX-a pipes, with and without oxygen barrier, in Russia. Development of private label products for new customers and with specific requirements. Increased production capacity of PIPE IN PIPE through the acquisition of another production line and a new measuring line.

2015

Resumption of activity at the industrial unit in Pedrógão Grande. Development and launch of a new product – FILGEO. Acquisition of new equipment for product packaging in order to expand customers’ packaging options (Plasticband).

2016

Extension of the product range to new customers in Russia. Reintegration into the national market.

2017

Significant increase in the number of customers in the national market and in the volume of invoicing in the Spanish market. Growth in customer diversity and new markets. Development and launch of a new product – FILREGA. Growth trend remains in the first quarter of 2018.

2020

In 2020, Duofil joined a Spanish multinational group called Auray Managing, which gave rise to the creation of a new company called Duopipe Systems, owner of the Duofil brand, following a path based on know-how acquired over the years and recognized internationally.

2021

We began to produce a new product called DUO ISOMETAL. (2 pipes Isometal in one coil)

Following the development plan, three new multilayer production lines and a new insulation production line were acquired, providing the company with a significant increase in installed capacity.
